Celtics are the new champions again in NBA

The Boston Celtics have secured their 18th NBA Championship, setting a new record for the most titles in NBA history. They achieved this milestone with a decisive 106-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, held at TD Garden on Monday night.

This championship marks their first since 2008, and it comes exactly 16 years after their last triumph.Head coach Joe Mazzulla joins the ranks of legendary Celtics coaches like Red Auerbach, Bill Russell, and K.C. Jones, who have all led the team to championship victories.

Jayson Tatum was a standout player in the clinching game, scoring a game-high 31 points.

The victory was particularly sweet for the Celtics, as it came against a Mavericks team featuring Kyrie Irving, a former Celtics player who had faced criticism during his time in Boston.

This win allows the Celtics to surpass their long-time rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, in total championships, solidifying their status as the most successful franchise in NBA history
