Lenovo has unveiled an exciting new laptop concept called the Think Book Transparent Display Laptop. This laptop features a 17.3-inch Micro LED display that can become up to 55 percent transparent when the pixels are turned off. As the pixels light up, the transparency decreases until the display appears completely opaque, with a peak brightness of 1000 nits.

But this transparent display isn’t just for show. Lenovo envisions practical applications for it. For instance, digital artists can sketch on the lower half of the laptop while still being able to see the world behind the screen. In addition to the transparent display, the laptop concept includes a flat touch keyboard that can also function as a drawing tablet. When a stylus is brought close to the drawing surface, the keyboard projection disappears seamlessly, allowing for a smooth transition between typing and drawing.
Although the ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop is currently just a concept and not available for purchase, Lenovo is confident that the showcased technologies will be incorporated into a real laptop within the next five years. The company is exploring the possibilities of transparent displays and AI integration to enhance collaboration and provide users with a whole new experience.
