Rajya Sabha Elections for 37 Seats Scheduled on March 16
India will hold elections to fill 37 vacancies in the Rajya Sabha across 10 states on March 16, the announced on Wednesday.
According to the official schedule, the election notification will be issued on February 26, and nominations will remain open until March 5. Scrutiny of nominations will follow, with the final list of candidates confirmed shortly thereafter.
Voting will take place between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, and counting of votes will begin at 5:00 pm, with results expected to be declared the same evening.
The upcoming elections are significant as several senior leaders are set to retire from the Upper House, including veteran Maharashtra politician , marking the end of a notable parliamentary tenure.
