China Calls for Immediate Halt to Military Operations as Iran Conflict Spreads Across Gulf
China has called for an immediate cessation of military operations as the conflict involving Iran escalates across the Gulf region, warning that continued violence could destabilize the wider Middle East and threaten global security.
In a strong diplomatic appeal, Chinese Foreign Minister urged all regional stakeholders to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue over confrontation. His remarks come amid rapidly intensifying hostilities following coordinated US–Israeli strikes that reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader , triggering a wave of retaliatory attacks across multiple fronts.
According to official statements, views the current trajectory of the conflict as extremely dangerous, with the potential to disrupt energy supplies, endanger civilian lives, and draw additional nations into a broader regional war. Beijing emphasized that any further escalation must be prevented through immediate diplomatic engagement and collective regional responsibility.
